About DoubleTree by Hilton Hull
Once the site of the legendry Lexington Avenue Nightclub, DoubleTree by Hilton Hull opened its brand-new doors earlier this year. For 44 years, the nightspot in Ferensway, city centre, known as LA’s, was a landmark venue that welcomed thousands of people through its doors.
When it was reduced to rubble in 2009 and earmarked for future hotel construction, DoubleTree by Hilton were the ideal hoteliers to create an exciting new venue.
The hotel is a modern, modular building with the usual excellent décor and soft furnishings we have come to expect from the brand.
Boasting 165 bedrooms, a large ballroom for events and conferences, 24-hour fitness centre, Marco Pierre White restaurant and a stunning Rooftop Terrence bar, it has quickly established itself as one of the top hotels in Hull.
The Venue View shoot was a great experience – shooting a shiny brand-new hotel is always exciting, seeing the exemplary features and fittings at their absolute best. This hotel also has a terrific team that go above and beyond to provide a great guest experience, something that continues to set it apart from its competition.
