Our first November Tour Of The Week post features the historically sumptuous The Grand York Hotel & Spa.
About The Grand York
In a city that is full to the brim of incredible architectural wonders, The Grand York is undoubtedly the cream of the crop. Built in 1906 as a “Palace of Business” for the North Eastern Railway Company – one of the most powerful and wealthy businesses in Britain at the time.
This exquisite building, featuring high marble ceilings, oak-panelled boardrooms and lofty arches was renovated & refurbished to its original Edwardian splendour, opened as a 5-star hotel in May 2010.
Guests of the multi-award winning The Grand York can expect a world-class spa experience, traditional English Afternoon Tea, locally sourced award-winning meals and a fascinating trip around historical York City.
The Venue View tour of The Grand is a firm favourite with all our team for many reasons – the magnificence of the building and the luxurious ambience but also for the dedication of its staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them, always helpful and professional but not intrusive, they made the shoot a real pleasure.
